Results without the spreadsheet weekend.
Academics adds the classroom side to Aurora Console: set up subjects, enter marks on one grid, see what is still missing, and print the A4 marksheet.
What is inside.
Built, rolling out- An overview board for each exam, showing which subjects and classes are still waiting for marks.
- Checked prerequisites. Aurora tells you what is missing before you start entering marks, not after you print.
- One marks grid for a class and subject, instead of one sheet per teacher.
- An A4 marksheet generated from the grid, ready to print.
How it fits the core.
- Same sign-in. Academics appears as a workspace in your Console. There is no second login.
- Its own database. Academics lives in your school's own environment beside Student and Fee, not inside them, and reads your class roster from Student.
- Nothing changes when it arrives. Fees and student records are not touched by installing or updating Academics.
- Installed per school. Enabled by name from a signed release, so a school only has it when it asks for it.
Where it stands, plainly.
Academics is built and rolling out. The results workspace is used by the school office today; teacher-facing screens are not part of Console yet. We would rather say so in a walkthrough than have you find out later.
Academics questions.
Do we need Academics to use Aurora?
No. Aurora Console is the core and works on its own: students, fees, admissions, transport and reports. Academics is an add-on you can turn on when you want results and marksheets.
Does it replace our current marksheet process straight away?
We plan the change with you in a walkthrough. Your existing process keeps working until you decide to move, and past records are not discarded.
Where is the data kept?
On Aurora's cloud servers, in your school's own environment, in a database that belongs to Academics. It is separate from your fee and student databases.
What does Academics cost?
We quote it in writing, per school, as its own line next to the core.
